Germany to supply Ukraine with largest military aid package yet, worth 2.7 billion euros

Germany will supply Ukraine with military aid worth a total of 2.7 billion euros (nearly $3 billion), reported Der Spiegel. This would make it Germany’s largest military aid package to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.

The package includes:

  • 30 Leopard-1 tanks;
  • 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles;
  • 15 Gepard anti-aircraft tanks;
  • 200 reconnaissance drones;
  • four IRIS-T SLM air defense systems;
  • 18 wheeled howitzers;
  • 100 armored vehicles.
