Social media company VK reportedly developing app to replace Tinder in Russia

The Russian social media company VK is developing a new dating app, according to the newspaper Vedomosti. The service is reportedly slated to be released this summer, when Tinder has pledged to leave the Russian market.

Users’ accounts on the new app will not be linked to their profiles on VK’s traditional social media app, so they won’t have to worry about “undesirable interactions” between their accounts on the two services, Vedomosti reported, citing two sources close to the company.
