The country’s Defense Ministry assured local residents in a statement that the situation poses no threat to the public.

The Polish radio station RMF FM reported that the object in question was an “air-to-surface” missile and that it was found on Tuesday but may have landed “some time ago.” According to journalists, the missile was stuck in the ground and contained writing in Russian.
