Man in military camo arrested after threatening to blow up draft office outside Moscow
A man in military camouflage and allegedly carrying a grenade was arrested in the suburban town of Domodedovo outside of Moscow. The incident was reported by the Telegram news channels Baza and Mash.
According to another outlet, the detainee had fled from a military base. He then came to a local draft office, threatening to blow up his grenade.
Local police stopped the vehicle the suspect was driving. When they discovered the grenade, sappers and FSB operatives were summoned to the scene.
According to a later Mash post, the grenade turned out to be only a visual aid.
Mediazona calculates that 77 violent incidents, including arson attempts, have occurred in Russia’s draft offices in 2022 since the start of the Ukraine invasion.
