One reported dead after Russia carries out drone attacks in multiple Ukrainian regions
Russian forces attacked multiple regions of Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed drones on Sunday night, the Ukrainian General Staff reported on Monday. According to preliminary data, Ukrainian forces shot down 11 of the 14 drones that were used.
Air raid alerts went into effect in several of Ukraine’s regions on Sunday evening, and air defense systems were activated later than night in Kyiv as well as in the wider Kyiv region and in the Chernihiv region. Explosions were also reported in Khmelnytskyi and Zaporizhzhia.
Khmelnytskyi Governor Serhiy Gamaliy reported that three strikes were carried out in the region. According to preliminary data, one civilian was killed and four were injured.
A Zaporizhzhia official reported two strikes on civilian infrastructure in the city, but said there were no casualties.
Kyiv authorities reported that nine drones were downed in the city and that there were no casualties.
