Moldova has closed its airspace temporarily, due to “security concerns.” According to an AirMoldova update, it has since been reopened.
The Telegram channel Moldova Liberă explains that the closure may have been related to the sighting of a drone that allegedly entered Moldovan airspace from Ukraine.
The country’s government has not yet commented on the situation. A day earlier, however, Moldova President Maia Sandu warned the public of a Russian plot to stage a coup in Moldova and of possible attacks on government buildings in the near future.
