Chechen officials have announced a plan to begin manufacturing military “Jihad-mobiles” at the ChechenAuto car assembly plant in Argun, Chechnya.
On January 19, a group of Chechen officials met with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to discuss this prospect. While the ministry itself made no comment on the talks, the Chechen side told TASS that “Jihad-mobiles” will be tested by the Russian Special Forces University, also located in Chechnya.
ChechenAuto now assembles Gazelle Next, the vehicle widely used by the Russian law enforcement.
