Wagner Group founder Evgeny Prigozhin claims Russia will soon ban YouTube
Wagner mercenary group founder Evgeny Prigozhin said Wednesday that YouTube will soon be banned in Russia.
In a statement published by his press service, Prigozhin claimed that the only reason YouTube hasn’t been banned in the country yet is that “there’s a huge number of people in the presidential administration who only think about one thing: how they want Russia to lose the war as soon as possible.” He referred to these people as “traitors to their people and to their country” and promised that the “Wagner sledgehammer” will await them in the future, referring to the weapon the group used to execute one of its former fighters who surrendered to Ukraine.
Prigozhin also predicted that after Russia bans YouTube, which he called the “information plague of our time,” anybody who “actively uses it” will be “found and duly punished.”
