The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will not participate in the G20 summit if Russia’s President Vladimir Putin attends.
It is my personal position, as well as Ukraine’s, that if the leader of the Russian Federation participates, then Ukraine will not. We’ll see what happens in the future,
Zelensky said in a briefing on November 3. He noted, too, that Ukraine is preparing for the summit, scheduled to take place in Bali on November 15–16.
Both presidents have been invited to the G20 Indonesian summit. Neither Moscow nor Kyiv have yet committed to their presidents’ attendance.
