Construction begins on ‘Prigozhin Line’ in Belgorod
Defensive structures made of concrete blocks are being installed in the Belgorod region, says regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The Wagner Group is placing similar concrete blocks in the annexed Luhansk region, creating a defensive line against the Ukrainian army. It’s being called the “Wagner Line” or the “Prigozhin Line.”
On October 19, the entrepreneur Evgeny Prigozhin, founder of PMC Wagner, said that his representative, Andrey Bogatov, was building “defensive structures” in the Belgorod region.
Prigozhin also announced the formation of a “people’s militia” in the region. Bogatov specified that it will be comprised of volunteers.
