A Ukrainian drone strike on two Wildberries warehouses killed eight people. This Thursday, less than a week after the attack, Russia’s largest online retailer will reopen one of the facilities.

Wildberries will resume operations at its Kotovsk warehouse in the Tambov region on July 23, five days after Ukrainian drones struck the facility in the early hours of July 18.

Tatyana Kim, the founder of Wildberries, wrote on Telegram that once the assessment of the Kotovsk logistics complex is complete on July 23, the warehouse will again be able to accept shipments and the goods stored there will go back on sale.

Kim also said Wildberries would soon list on its seller portal the goods that had been stored at the second warehouse hit in the strike — the one in Elektrostal — but did not say whether that facility would reopen.

Kim said she had seen many questions about compensation for damaged goods in Elektrostal. She assured sellers that Wildberries would not leave them to handle the problem alone, saying that she had already flagged how long the damage assessment would take, that she had told her team to move faster, and that she expected to share an updated status soon.

The strike by Ukraine’s armed forces on Wildberries warehouses in Kotovsk and Elektrostal killed eight people and injured around 80. Preliminary estimates put the damage from the attack at over 50 billion rubles. The marketplace said it is not obligated to compensate sellers for lost goods, but offered them other support measures.
