United Russia secured a constitutional majority in the lower house of Russia’s parliament following the September 18–20 elections. According to the Central Election Commission, the ruling party can expect to hold 355 seats in the State Duma — its largest faction ever. Its previous record was 343 seats, following the 2016 election. In the previous State Duma — the last elected before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine — United Russia had 324 lawmakers.
