How Russia’s 2026 election results compare with 2021

According to preliminary results from the State Duma election, United Russia won 57.83% of the party-list vote. Compared with the previous election, held in 2021, United Russia dramatically improved its result. Of the five parties that entered parliament that year, two others also received a higher share of the vote in 2026: the Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) and New People. The Communist Party, by contrast, did worse, as did A Just Russia, which won 7.46% in the 2021 election but this time — with 96.95% of precinct reports processed — barely cleared the electoral threshold, receiving exactly 5.00% of the vote.
