Dozens of people gather outside of Moscow church where Navalny’s funeral will be held

Alexey Navalny’s funeral will be held on March 1 at the Church of the Icon of Our Lady Soothe My Sorrows in Moscow. The service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Moscow time, but people are already lining up to say their goodbyes several hours before its start. The authorities set up a corridor of metal fencing from the nearest subway station to the church, and police are checking people’s documents. There are reports of Internet disruptions in the area. After the service, Navalny will be interred at the Borisovskoye Cemetery.
