Moscow public transit usage has decreased by less than a third this month as coronavirus infections spread

Moscow’s public transit department has posted figures showing a decrease in city transport usage between March 2 and 19. Within that period, classes were canceled in Moscow’s schools and universities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and anyone returning to the city from Europe was obligated to self-isolate at home. By March 19, 98 coronavirus cases had been confirmed in the city. The following day, 33 more were recorded.
