Zelensky says Russian airstrikes on school used for humanitarian aid in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region killed at least 18 people
Russian forces bombed the village of Komyshuvakha in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, killing 18 people and injuring five others, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
The strikes hit a school used “for humanitarian purposes,” where local residents received aid, he said.
“After the first aerial bomb strike, there was a double-tap strike with nine more bombs, specifically targeting the shelter where people were taking cover,” Zelensky wrote.
Local authorities reported that 27 people remain missing after the strike.
