Yandex withdraws annual revenue forecast after Ukrainian strikes on data centers

Source: Yandex

Yandex has withdrawn its previously published forecasts for 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA.

“After the October attacks on the data centers, the company faced additional external factors that complicate assessing its financial results through the end of the year,” the company said.

Yandex said it would consider resuming forecasts beginning next quarter.

Yandex said its long-term strategic priorities remain unchanged, that it does not plan to revise its development plans for key business areas, and that it will continue investing in new technologies and products.

In forecasts published earlier, Yandex had expected annual revenue to grow about 20% year-over-year, with adjusted EBITDA of about 350 billion rubles, the Russian business news outlet RBC said.

In early October, Ukrainian drones struck three of Yandex’s six data centers over the course of a week: in Sasovo in the Ryazan region, in Kaluga, and in Vladimir. Following the strikes, some Yandex services were temporarily unavailable or functioned with limitations. As of late October, Yandex reported, key functions of all services were available. The company said engineers “are working to fully restore all functionality.”

The Russian business daily Kommersant wrote that, according to experts’ estimates, replacing equipment at Yandex’s data centers damaged in the Ukrainian drone strikes would take about six months.
