Su-30 fighter jet crashes in Russia
A Russian Su-30 fighter jet crashed in the Kaliningrad region during a scheduled training flight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The ministry said the crew ejected and was evacuated, and that the pilots’ lives are not in danger. It added that the plane came down in an uninhabited area and that the flight was being carried out without ammunition.
The Russian security services-linked Telegram channel Mash reported that the Su-30SM jet came down in a field between the villages of Timofeyevka and Zelenyy Bor, near Chernyakhovsk. The pilots were taken to a military hospital with injuries.
The Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ published video showing the jet coming down near a cemetery.
