Starlink service for Ukraine’s military fully resumes

Source: Ukrinform

Starshield — the military version of Starlink — is fully operational again for Ukrainian forces, a source at Ukraine’s Defense Ministry told Ukrinform.

“As of today, Starshield has resumed working on the move, and it continues to operate, we’re seeing confirmation of this in reports from military units,” the source told the agency.

The source assured that Ukraine’s Defense Ministry is in contact with partners to determine the causes and circumstances of the restrictions.

RBC-Ukraine sources within Ukraine’s Defense Ministry also reported that Starshield service had resumed.

Ukrainian officials and military personnel began reporting problems with Starshield on the morning of October 14.

News of the restrictions on Starshield emerged amid a crisis in relations between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Washington did not officially confirm that it had imposed any restrictions. SpaceX head Elon Musk, for his part, said only the Pentagon could restrict the system’s operation.
