Source: RBC

On the afternoon of October 8, the websites of many major Russian news outlets stopped loading, the Russian business news outlet RBC reported.

Users said they could not access the websites of RBC, Vedomosti, RIA Novosti, Kommersant, Vesti, Interfax, and Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

RBC said the websites were accessible again by the time of its report.

In the morning, Ukraine attacked a data center owned by Yandex in Sasovo, in the Ryazan region. The attack caused a fire and forced a temporary halt to the center’s operations. Yandex announced that the attack had affected “part of its infrastructure.”
