Russian missile and drone strikes across Ukraine kill six and injure more than 20

Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight on October 7 with missiles, including ballistic missiles, and drones.

In Kyiv, a Russian strike damaged nonresidential buildings, offices, and warehouses in the Obolonskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Podil’skyi districts, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. In the Darnytskyi district, a Russian strike caused a fire at a garage cooperative, killing two people. Two others were rescued.

Russian forces also struck other regions of Ukraine.

In the Chernihiv region, a missile strike damaged a five-story residential building in the city of Pryluky. The State Emergency Service reported that four people were killed in Pryluky and 20 were injured, including three children.

A Russian strike also damaged residential buildings in Kremenchuk. Local authorities did not report any casualties.

Russian forces also attacked a transportation infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia and an industrial facility in Dnipro.
