Russia struck an office building in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi District with a drone, killing at least four people, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
The bodies of at least three victims were found in a parking lot next to the building struck by the drone. Seven more people were injured, including a child, Klitschko added. The building’s facade was damaged, and its windows were blown out.
A medical facility in Solomianskyi District was also damaged, and three people nearby were hospitalized.
The strike also damaged a data center belonging to the internet provider DataGroup. The company said none of its employees were injured, adding that customer data remains intact and all services continue to run from backup sites.
Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian forces also struck a warehouse used by McDonald’s with drones earlier in the day. “An attack drone against ordinary goods. The Russians are constantly expanding their escalation operation: American and other businesses, data centers, internet providers — for Russia, all of ordinary life is simply a target,” wrote Zelensky.
Overall, Russian strikes on Kyiv killed five people and injured 31 others on September 25. Of those injured, 15 are hospitalized, including two children, Klitschko said.
