Moscow–Tolyatti passenger train damaged by ‘external interference,’ injuring driver and halting rail traffic
Passenger train No. 66 Moscow–Tolyatti sustained damage to its locomotive and first car after “outside interference” on the Racheika–Belasheika stretch in the Samara region, the Kuibyshev Railway reported.
The train’s engineer was injured. No passengers were hurt. Train traffic on the stretch has been halted. Two passenger trains have been delayed because of the incident: No. 16 Moscow–Samara and No. 10 Moscow–Samara.
Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev also reported on the incident. According to him, the train was damaged on the border between the Samara and Ulyanovsk regions. He did not specify what happened.
