Wildberries warehouse in Russia completely destroyed in Ukrainian drone attack
A Wildberries logistics center in Kotovsk, in Russia’s Tambov region, burned to the ground after a Ukrainian drone strike overnight on August 26, Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov said.
Two people were injured in the attack, he said — a 19-year-old man who suffered a concussion and a 49-year-old woman who broke a finger.
According to Pervyshov, 19 drones targeted the warehouse in all. Air defenses shot down 16 of them, while three managed to strike the building.
Kotovsk Mayor Alexey Plakhotnikov had earlier urged residents to limit “active movement around the city” for the next two days and keep their windows closed because of the heavy fire, smoke, and smog.
This marks the second Ukrainian attack on the Kotovsk warehouse. The previous strike occurred overnight on July 18 and killed seven Wildberries employees.
