Nine dead after bus comes under fire in Russian-occupied Luhansk region, Moscow-installed official says
A scheduled intercity bus came under fire in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic, according to Leonid Pasechnik, the Russian-appointed head of the region.
Ukrainian forces “deliberately” struck the bus, which was traveling the Lysychansk–Stakhanov route along the Zolote–Pervomaisk highway, Pasechnik said. The bus was carrying 15 passengers at the time of the strike, he said.
According to Pasechnik, nine people were killed in the attack, and five were wounded.
