Kremlin on Ukrainian strikes on Ozon warehouses: ‘Responses are felt in Kyiv every day, every night’
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russian forces would answer the attacks on Ozon’s warehouses with new strikes on Ukrainian territory.
“Responses are felt in Kyiv every day, every night, and they will keep feeling it going forward,” Peskov said, responding to reporters’ questions about Ukrainian military drone strikes on the marketplace’s logistics facilities, according to the outlet Vy Slushali.
Peskov also pointed to an interview with Vladimir Putin, who said Kyiv had “opened Pandora’s box” and “let the genie out of the bottle” by striking “Russian civilian facilities and logistics.”
Peskov said the Ukrainian drone strikes cannot in any way “affect the dynamics everyone is observing on the front lines.”
Ukraine’s military has spent three days striking warehouse complexes belonging to the Russian e-commerce platform Ozon. Before that, Ukrainian drones hit warehouses belonging to another marketplace, Wildberries, and struck Russian oil refineries.
Russian forces have also been attacking Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, including logistics complexes and food warehouses, and have struck shopping centers as well. A strike on the largest shopping center in Kryvyi Rih killed 16 people on August 21 and injured about 130.
