Dmitry Larin, deputy chairman of Genbank’s board, died in a traffic accident in central Moscow on the morning of August 18, the TASS news agency reported. The motorcycle he was riding collided with an ambulance on 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street.

Larin, 50, oversaw information security and IT at Genbank, according to the Russian Telegram channel Mash.

Genbank is one of Crimea’s main banks. The bank was added to U.S. sanctions lists in 2015 because of its operations on the peninsula. By asset size, Genbank ranks among Russia’s 100 largest banks.
