6 killed in Russian strike on Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia
Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv overnight on August 11.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional administration, said the attack killed six people, injured 19 others, and damaged four apartment buildings and several nonresidential buildings.
In Kyiv, a missile crashed near a children’s hospital in the Shevchenkivskyi district, local media reported, though no one was killed or injured in that strike.
A separate strike sparked a fire at a warehouse, injuring one person.
Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that the strikes on Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia targeted military facilities and transportation and logistics hubs.
