Ukrainian drones strike two Wildberries warehouses in Russia, sparking fires and injuring workers

Source: Tatyana Kim

Ukrainian drones struck two logistics centers belonging to Russian online retailer Wildberries — one in Krasnodar and one in Nevinnomyssk — injuring employees at both sites, company head Tatyana Kim said. Both warehouses were evacuated.

Five people were hurt in the fire at the Nevinnomyssk warehouse, Stavropol Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said. Doctors treated them on site.

Local authorities declared a local-level state of emergency in the fire zone and deployed an Emergency Situations Ministry helicopter to help fight the blaze.

A helicopter was also being brought in to battle the fire at the Krasnodar warehouse, the Krasnodar Krai operational headquarters said. Ten people were injured in that attack, regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev said — four were taken to hospitals and six were treated on site.

Ukraine attacks Wildberries warehouses for the second time in a week. Eight people were killed and around 80 were injured as a result of Ukrainian drone strikes on the company’s logistics centers on July 18 in Kotovsk, Tambov Region, and Elektrostal near Moscow. Fires broke out at the warehouses.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky explained the attacks on Wildberries by saying that the warehouses contained components for the production of drones and ‘navigation equipment.’
