Moscow man jailed for walking a goat on Red Square and swearing

A Moscow court sentenced Magomed Magomedov to five days in jail on a petty hooliganism conviction, the city court press service said.

Police said that on the evening of July 18, Magomedov was on Red Square, where he used obscene language and “walked a domestic animal in a place not designated for that purpose.”

The Russian Telegram news channel Ostorozhno Novosti (“Careful, News”) reported that the animal was a goat.

The Moskva news agency reported that Magomedov had previously been seen around the city with the goat on multiple occasions. In one video, he says the goat’s name is Leila.
