Russian forces struck Odesa with missiles overnight on July 17, killing two people, according to Serhiy Lysak, head of the city’s military administration. Six others were injured, including three children.

Eleven residential buildings were damaged in Odesa’s Khadzhybeiskyi district, Lysak said. The strike also hit a religious institution and a preschool, along with vehicles and other civilian infrastructure, the military administration reported earlier.

Ukraine’s Air Force Command said Russian forces launched eight missiles and 130 drones at Ukraine overnight, including decoy drones, and that Ukrainian forces shot down five missiles and 115 drones.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said it had “continued striking Ukrainian ports used to deliver cargo for the Ukrainian military.”

Three people were killed and six others were injured in a Russian missile attack on Odesa overnight on July 14.
