Yandex Taxi asks regional authorities to raise fuel limits for taxi drivers

Source: Interfax

Yandex Taxi has asked regional authorities and gas station networks to raise fuel limits for taxi drivers, a company representative told the Russian news agency Interfax.

The company says it does not “observe” a systemic rise in prices or an outflow of drivers caused by the fuel crisis, but in regions where sales restrictions are in place, drivers are spending significantly more time at gas stations than usual.

Kommersant reported on June 30 that many taxi drivers have been going out on the road less frequently and refusing long-distance routes, fearing they would run out of fuel.
