Zelensky says Ukraine’s security service has approved a ‘40-day influence operation’ to force Russia to end the war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has approved a “40-day influence operation” by the SBU against Russia “aimed at securing an end to the war.” He announced this on his Telegram channel after a meeting with the security service’s chief, Yevhen Khmara.
He said he had received a report from Khmara “on our plan for long-range sanctions, medium-range sanctions, and the results of the ‘Alpha’ Special Operations Center at the front.” According to Zelensky, the SBU has “the highest rates of defending Ukraine’s positions on the front line thanks to the use of various types of drones.”
He provided no further details.
The Security Service of Ukraine takes part in drone strikes on Russian territory.
A fuel crisis has set in across Russia amid intensifying Ukrainian attacks on oil refineries. It is spreading to a growing number of regions — authorities in more than 20 of them have already imposed restrictions on gasoline sales.
