Report: Ukrainian drones strike oil refinery in Russia as drone attack alerts issued across Ural region
Ukrainian drones struck an oil refinery in Ufa, the Ukrainian Telegram channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+ reported, publishing several photos and videos from the scene.
Residents of Ufa reported a thick column of black smoke rising from the direction of Chernikovka, where two Bashneft refineries are located, the Ufa-based news outlet Ufa1 reported.
The Emergency Situations Ministry offered no official details, saying the information was still being verified. Unofficially, ministry officials said a drone strike near the refineries was “possibly” involved, the Ufa-based news outlet Mkset reported.
Drone attack alerts had been issued across the Ural region before the strike.
Bashkortostan authorities had not commented on the incident at the time of publication.
