A Ukrainian drone struck the regional court building in Nizhny Novgorod, Governor Gleb Nikitin said, adding that no one was hurt.

Photos and videos published by the Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ showed minor damage to the building’s upper floor.

The area around the court was cordoned off, the Nizhny Novgorod-based news outlet “Novosti Nizhnego Novgoroda” reported.

Nizhny Novgorod Mayor Yury Shalabayev said in his channel on the Max messenger that air defense systems had been shooting down drones over Nizhny Novgorod and Kstovo, which falls within the city district’s boundaries. “Localized damage to the roof of an administrative building was recorded, with no subsequent fire,” he wrote, without specifying which building he meant.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that 62 Ukrainian drones had been shot down overnight, though Russian military officials did not say how many had targeted the Nizhny Novgorod region.
