Two people were killed and several others wounded in a Ukrainian drone strike on Syzran, Samara region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said, without providing further details.

Local residents reported a fire breaking out in the city following the strike. The Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ and the independent Telegram channel Astra said the blaze started at one of the units of the Syzran oil refinery, a Rosneft subsidiary.

Russian air defense forces shot down 121 drones overnight across Russian regions and the Caspian Sea, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.
