Russian adventurer pushing homemade cart ‘to Brazil’ reportedly killed in Ukrainian drone strike
Alexander, a traveler from Stavropol Krai who was known online by the name “Sasha Kon,” was killed on May 13 in Russia’s Bryansk region by a Ukrainian drone strike, the Telegram channels Baza, Shot, and Mash reported.
The day before, Bryansk regional authorities said Ukrainian forces had struck the village of Staraya Pogoshch in the Suzemsky district with a drone, killing a civilian from Stavropol Krai. The victim was not named.
The Russian state news agency TASS, citing emergency services, said Sasha Kon “presumably died in the Bryansk region during a Ukrainian drone attack” and noted that his identity had not yet been formally confirmed — he was found without documents.
Sasha Kon, 37, had set out on foot for Brazil in early April, pushing a 300-kilogram (661-pound) cart along the roads and covering 15 to 30 kilometers (9 to 19 miles) a day, the Telegram channel Mash reported.
