Russian drone attack on Dnipro kills 3, wounds 10 and damages residential building

Update. Three people were killed in the Russian drone attack on Dnipro, Mayor Borys Filatov said. Dnipropetrovsk Region head Oleksandr Hanzha added that the body of the third victim was found inside a damaged apartment building.

A Russian drone attack on Dnipro in the early hours of April 23 killed two people and wounded 10, Dnipropetrovsk Region head Oleksandr Hanzha said.

Among the injured were girls aged nine and 14, both of whom were hospitalized.

The strike damaged a 13-story residential building, a store, several vehicles, and an administrative building. Hanzha published photographs and video of a fire that broke out in the apartment building, where flames tore through several units.

Russian drones also hit two other districts of Dnipropetrovsk Region. A 64-year-old civilian was wounded in Nikopol District.

Overnight, Russian forces launched 155 drones at Ukraine, including roughly 100 Shahed strike drones. Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 139 of them; 11 came down at nine locations.
