AvtoVAZ starts monthly car subscription program for its Lada lineup

Source: Meduza

Russia’s state carmaker AvtoVAZ has launched a long-term vehicle subscription program for its Lada lineup, the company’s press service announced. The program is called “Lada Legko.”

For now, the only model available is the Lada Vesta sedan — a 1.6-liter engine with automatic transmission in the “Praktik” trim level. AvtoVAZ plans to expand the offering, and management had previously planned to extend the subscription to the Granta and Largus models.

The monthly cost varies by trim and options, but AvtoVAZ said the Lada Vesta subscription runs roughly 44,000 rubles a month, or about 1,500 rubles a day.

The subscription price covers mandatory third-party liability insurance (OSAGO) and comprehensive coverage (KASKO), maintenance, roadside assistance, seasonal tire changes, and tire storage. No more than three drivers may operate the vehicle, and an annual mileage cap of 30,000 kilometers (18,641 miles) applies.

The subscription runs for one year. At the end of the term, the car must be returned unmodified, with allowances for normal wear and tear.

In 2025, Russia recorded a drop in both the production and sales of new cars. The decline carried into early 2026.

In March 2026, 104,280 new passenger cars were sold in Russia — up 30.6 percent from March 2025, according to data from Avtostat.

It was the first month in three that the Russian auto market had topped 100,000 units, the Russian business daily Kommersant said. Sales in January and February had hovered around 80,000 units. Analysts attributed the March rebound to a low base from the year before and seasonal factors.
