Source: Igor Artamonov

A woman was killed when Ukrainian drones struck the city of Yelets in Russia’s Lipetsk region, Governor Igor Artamonov said.

The victim was in a house on Cherokmanova Street. Artamonov gave no further details. Five other people were injured in the attack, four of whom were hospitalized.

Drone debris damaged windows in several residential buildings in Yelets. In the village of Dolgorukovo, a drone that came down started a fire in a residential building; no injuries were reported.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that air defense forces intercepted 97 Ukrainian drones overnight above the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov, and Tula regions, as well as Crimea and the Sea of Azov.
