Sberbank says services have been restored after outages hit major Russian bank apps

Source: Meduza
Update. Sberbank announced that services had been restored. “Everything is working — our team fixed it quickly, and access to all services has been fully restored,” the bank said. The Downdetector and Sboy.rf outage-tracking services showed the number of complaints from customers of major banks about app disruptions had begun to decline.

Apps for Sberbank, VTB, and T-Bank experienced major disruptions, according to Downdetector and Sboy.rf.

Sberbank customers reported failed payments and transfers, inability to log in to their accounts, card payment failures at stores, and problems withdrawing cash at ATMs and bank branches.

Customers of VTB and T-Bank reported similar problems. Downdetector also showed disruptions to the Faster Payments System.

Sberbank said it was aware of “difficulties” some customers were experiencing with certain services and promised to resolve the problems as soon as possible. VTB and T-Bank had not commented on the outages.
