Ukraine planning new offensive that would require U.S. intelligence support — WSJ

U.S. President Donald Trump has received intelligence that Ukraine is preparing an offensive that would require support from American intelligence services, The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the situation.

According to the newspaper’s sources, U.S. officials told Trump about Kyiv’s plan when they recently briefed him on the battlefield situation, noting that Russia has made only limited gains in recent years.

The WSJ did not provide further details about the planned Ukrainian operation.

On Tuesday, after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other world leaders at the U.N., Trump wrote on social media that Ukraine is capable of winning back its entire occupied territory “in its original form” and could “maybe even go further than that.”
