A hot mic at Beijing’s military parade on Wednesday caught Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussing ways to extend human life using modern technology, Bloomberg reports.

The exchange took place as Xi, Putin, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made their way to the viewing stand before the start of the parade, which marked the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat in World War II.

At the start of the clip, Xi can be heard saying in Chinese, “these days” and “70 years old.” Then Putin’s interpreter says in Russian: “Earlier, people rarely lived to 70, but these days at 70 years you are still a child.”

Xi’s interpreter then relays Putin’s response: “With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted, and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality.”

“Predictions are, this century, there’s a chance of also living to 150,” Xi replies, before the feed cuts away.
