‘Let’s mediate Russia first’: Trump says Putin offered to help mediate Israel–Iran conflict

 Donald Trump told journalists that he spoke to Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

“[Putin] actually offered to help mediate [between Israel and Iran]. I said, ‘Do me a favor. Mediate your own. Let’s mediate Russia first,’” Trump said.

The U.S. president added that “far more people” have been killed in the war in Ukraine than have been previously reported. “A building falls down, they say nobody was hurt,” he said. “Ridiculous.”
