Russian forces launched overnight drone attacks on Kyiv and Odesa, local officials said.
In Ukraine’s southern port city of Odesa, at least two people were killed and nine others injured, according to the regional prosecutor’s office.
The office said the city was targeted by more than 10 drones, damaging residential buildings, a maternity hospital, an emergency medical station, a private clinic, a sports complex, the zoo, the railway station, and multiple vehicles. Governor Oleh Kiper reported that residential buildings in the city center were damaged and that the administrative building of the emergency medical station was completely leveled.
In Kyiv, four people were injured and hospitalized, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city’s military administration, said losses were “kept to a minimum” thanks to Ukraine’s air defense systems. The Air Force also reported that ballistic missiles were launched at the capital alongside the drone attacks.
Damage was reported across seven city districts, including damaged homes, fires in residential and nonresidential buildings, and blazes at warehouse facilities caused by falling drone debris.
