Russia launched a massive strike on Ukrainian regions during the night of December 12-13, Ukraine’s Air Force reported.
Air raid sirens sounded across the country, with explosions reported in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
Russian forces carried out multiple strikes using Kinzhal and Kalibr missiles, according to RBC Ukraine. Reports on the damage remain limited. In Kharkiv, a drone struck the roof of a five-story apartment building, sparking a fire, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said. No casualties were reported.
In Odesa, media reported disruptions to water supplies and electric-powered transport. Power outages were also reported in several regions of Ukraine.
Poland’s Armed Forces Operational Command said it deployed military aircraft into Polish airspace due to Russia’s use of cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as drones, to target areas in western Ukraine.
