Zelensky announces successful tests of new Ukrainian missile

The Ukrainian military has conducted successful tests of a new homegrown missile called Ruta, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday. He said that testing is currently still underway.

Zelensky did not provide any details about the missile’s features or specifications. However, he said that Ukraine’s Palianytsia “drone-missile,” first used in combat in August 2024, has entered mass production.

Additionally, the Ukrainian president said that a new drone missile called Peklo (“hell”) has been successfully used in combat and that a long-range missile called Neptune “will soon become a terrifying reality for the occupiers.”
