Nearly all defendants’ names disappear from website of Russian court handling speech-related ‘terrorism’ cases

Source: Mediazona

The names of almost all defendants with ongoing cases at Moscow’s 2nd Western District Military Court, which handles “terrorism” charges, have disappeared from the court’s website, Mediazona reported on Wednesday.

While the defendants’ charges remain listed, their names have been replaced with the phrase “information hidden.” Many of these cases involve accusations of “justifying terrorism,” often related to online posts.

The court’s press service told Mediazona that the names’ disappearance may be due to technical issues, though the outlet noted that the database is otherwise functioning normally.
