Russia launches missile and drone strike on Kyiv

Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, with missiles and drones on Wednesday morning, according to local authorities. Explosions were reported in the city, and Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to remain in shelters until the air raid alert was lifted.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko, wrote that cruise missiles had been launched at the city from Tu-95MS aircraft. He also warned that precautionary power outages might be temporarily implemented due to the air raid alert.
