Zelensky denies Ukrainian occupation of critical infrastructure in Kursk and reproaches U.S. for leaking Tomahawk missiles request

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that Ukrainian incursion forces have never had any intention of seizing control of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, though he insisted that his troops could manage it. “We could [have done it], but we never wanted it. Because we understand what it [would mean] — that we will be the same as Russia. We are not occupying their critical infrastructure like this did with the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Station,” Zelensky explained in an interview with European journalists.

In the same exchange, Ukraine’s president criticized the White House for leaking information about his “confidential” request for long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles. “It means, between partners, there aren’t any confidential things,” said Zelensky.
